The effects of molecular mass of polyacrylic acid on the degree of binding
of silver cations and the dimensions of nanoparticles produced by the photo
chemical reduction of the resulting complex were studied. It was shown that
, in the presence of polyacid with M = 4.5 x 10(5), monodisperse spherical
nanoparticles 1-2 nm in diameter are formed. As the molecular mass of polya
cid decreases to 2 x 10(3), the coarse polydisperse particles with diameter
up to 20 nm are produced.
