Influence of epsilon and tau ' phases in mechanical properties of the zinalco V alloy

The addition of cooper to Zn-Al alloys leads the formation of the intermeta llic compounds including epsilon, y tau'. This compounds are formed by diff erent heat treatments. On this paper it's show results of studies that were realized on the zinalco V alloy. The zinalco V alloy was studied using sca nning electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction, differential scanning calorim etry, hardness measurement and tension testing.
