Ab. Shein et Ov. Kanaeva, Anodic dissolution of the (100) and (110) faces of iron monosilicide in a sulfuric acid electrolyte, RUSS J ELEC, 36(8), 2000, pp. 913-915
Using cyclic voltammetry combined with an atomic absorption analysis, it is
shown that, under anodic polarization of an FeSi single crystal in 0.5 M H
2SO4, the metal-enriched (100) face dissolves faster. Fluoride-containing c
ompounds promote anodic process due to dissolution of the surface layer of
SiO2 and Si.
