A semiempirical model for the description of phase relations in water-salt
systems with continuous solid solutions is presented. The model was derived
from a thermodynamic analysis of equilibria in mixed crystals and aqueous
solution. The phase diagram of the system is shown to depend on the propert
ies of a solid solution and the solubility ratio of the components. The res
ults of calculations in terms of the model are compared to experimental dat
a on water-salt systems with solid solutions.
