Abstract
Stereochemistry of F-, Cl-, Br-, and I-containing antimony compounds is stu died with the use of the Voronoi-Dirichlet (VD) polyhedra. The stereochemic al activity of the lone pair electrons of Sb(III) atoms decreases with a de crease in the electronegativity of the surrounding atoms along the series S bFn-SbCln-SbBrn-SbIn. The intersecting spheres method can be used to determ ine the coordination numbers of antimony atoms in crystals.
