The electrochemical production of poly(2-methoxyaniline-5-sulfonic acid) (P
MAS) has been investigated. Using the electrohydrodynamic processing method
, it has been shown that both the applied potential and the flow rate emplo
yed have a dramatic effect on molecular weight and molecular weight distrib
ution. The conductivity of the PMAS obtained was of the order of 0.01 S cm(
-1) and was negligibly affected by applied potential or flow rate. (C) 2000
