Abstract
The syntheses of novel rigid dendritic ligands and their ruthenium complexe s, in which 1,3,5-phenylene-based hydrocarbon dendron units were directly c onnected to a phenanthroline ligand at the 3 and 8 positions, are described . Preliminary absorption and fluorescence results are indicative of highly efficient energy transfer within the rigid metallodendrimers. (C) 2000 Else vier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
