Abstract
The range of chemical grout uses in civil and underground engineering has i ncreased rapidly, along with requirements on special sealing and reinforcin g grouting technologies with high target parameters. Connecting demands of knowledge of grout properties and behaviour during grouting process and aft er curing are necessary for the design and control of the grouting technolo gies. In the past, the laboratory research on grouts was mainly directed at concrete mixtures. Recently, the laboratory testing methods for chemical g routs have been developed; the methods are often different, anal the chemic al grouts used have different properties. The paper deals with methods used and developed in the laboratories of the Institute of Geonics in Ostrava, Czech Republic, and present the results of laboratory tests connecting to w ell-known projects in the Czech Repuvlic (e.g. underground gas storage Haje ).
