Abstract
This paper proposes a step-by-step process to identify disjoint subcla sses and class life cycle information in object-oriented analysis. The process is supported by a role analysis technique that uses the persp ective application concept as its core. The process allows the system designer to identify efficiently roles and subclasses of a class. The class life cycle information of a class is also obtained through the m odelling of its roles' evolution. (C) 1997 Elsevier Science B.V.
