We describe classical orbits and quantum states of a three-particle system,
which is weakly chaotic. The quantum energies of the lowest 48 states, whi
ch are invariant under permutations, are given both for various approximati
ons and to high accuracy. The quantum mechanical probability distributions
are given in a two-dimensional version of the system, the hexagonal pit. Th
e quantum probabilities show strong resemblance to classical orbits of vari
ous types, including chaotic ones.
