Abstract
Results of field experiment conducted at Keonjhar during winter seasons of 1991-93 revealed that application of 62.5 : 100 : 100 kg N : P2O5 : K2O/ha produced significantly the maximum green pod yield (133.63 q/ha) of Frenchb ean (Phaseolus valgaris L.) with highest B : C ratio (1 : 8.23). The crop r esponded significantly to spacing and significantly higher green pod yield of 114.33 q/ha was recorded with closer spacing of 35 x 25 cm.
