Abstract
Laying hens were sorted into light, medium, and heavy groups at 25 wk based on either body weight (BW) or egg weight (EW). They remained in these grou ps for a 10-wk experimental period. There was no difference in egg producti on among the three groups. Egg weights, feed consumption (FC), and energy i ntake increased as the 25-wk BW or EW increased.
