Abstract
In this communication, we present the first measurement of the electric dip ole polarizability of alkali-halide clusters with one excess electron. The polarizability is strongly size dependent. Very large values are observed f or certain sizes. Ionization potential measurement is also presented for co mparison. (C) 2000 American Institute of Physics. [S0021-9606(00)01235-6].
