Abstract
It is shown how new methods of electron crystal structure analysis can be u sed to probe the physico chemical parameters of two dimensional second harm onic generation (SHG) chromophores at a molecular level and how these can b e influenced in order to enhance specific properties of the macroscopic mat erial.
