Abstract
Novel ruthenium complexes having 4,7-dimethyl-substituted DPPZ or TPPHZ as a ligand have been synthesized: the methyl groups on the ligands exert a sh ielding effect on the phenazine nitrogens which prevents solvent-quenching.
