Abstract
The concentration dependence of the fifth order two-dimensional Raman signa l intensity is reexamined. The instantaneous response of the fifth order si gnal comes from the fifth order susceptibility. The delayed response of the fifth order signal is consistent with a genuine fifth order Raman rather t han a cascading process of the third order nonlinearity.
