Abstract
This paper reviews the principles of recording, reconstruction and nonlinea r transformations of ultrashort light pulses, based on spatial spectral dec omposition of light. Some applications of these methods for processing time -dependent signals in the femtosecond to nanosecond range are also consider ed.
