Abstract
This Paper describes the pipeline carrying gas from the British Gas pi peline leaving the Barrow Terminal to supply the new gas fired combine d heat/power plant installed by British Nuclear Fuels Ltd at their Sel lafield plant. This passes through several environmentally sensitive a reas, and the Paper describes fully how one of these, the crossing of the Duddon Estuary, was undertaken.
