Abstract
A never photochromic compound, 3-phenyl-3-(1,2-dimethylindol-3-yl)-3H-napht ho[2,1-b] pyran (I) was synthesized and the mechanism for photochromic proc ess of I was investigated by nanosecond laser flash photolysis.
