Abstract
The effect of MgF2 or gamma-Al2O3 supported binary copper and manganese oxi des on the catalytic properties in the NO + C3H6 + O-2 reaction was studied . The catalysts were prepared using a co-impregnation procedure. The result s were compared to those obtained for mono-oxide catalysts (Cu, Mn). The be st performance was found for copper-manganese catalysts supported on MgF2 a nd their activity was related to the presence of a spinel structure type Cu xMn3-xO4. The Cu-Mn/MgF2 catalyst shows almost 100% conversion and selectiv ity in nitrogen oxide reduction by propene to N-2.
