Abstract
This paper focuses on future areas of research and development (R&D) i n the area of demand-side management (DSM) impact measurement and eval uation. The goal is to identify viable R&D opportunities that can impr ove capabilities to determine the energy and demand reductions achieve d in customer facilities through DSM programs and measures. After revi ewing key issues in data analysis, field monitoring, and the evaluatio n of DSM measures, potential R& D opportunities are identified accordi ng to a priority level.
