Abstract
A Peregrine Falcon (Falco peregrinus) was observed stooping on a Whimbrel ( Numenius phaeopus) that was eventually attacked by a nearby Common Raven (C orvus corax). This incident reinforces the idea that ravens are opportunist ic and intelligent predators capable of kleptoparasitizing large prey items .
