The existence of a complet solid solution serie Cu1-xZnxMoO4 (0 less than o
r equal to x less than or equal to 1) is confirmed. Single crystals were ob
tained by chemical transport with different transport agents. The compositi
ons and structures were characterized by EDX analysis, photometic analysis,
and X-ray investigations on polycrystallin powders and single crystals. Th
e substitution behaviour of (Cu1-xZnx)O-6(-) and (Cu1-xZnx)O-5-polyhedra is
different and the reason for deviations from the Vegards rule are near x =
0.25.
