Abstract
We evaluate the use of a 3-mm port (n=29) in the epigastric and lateral abd ominal region compared with a 5-mm port (n=92) regarding patents' backgroun d, postoperative complication and postoperative pain. There were no signifi cant differences in any of the variables measured. These results suggest th at 3-mm ports were equally as good as 5-mm ports.
