Abstract
For the purpose of prevention of post-gastrectomy syndrome and a less invas ive and yet curative oncological resection, we performed laparoscopic pylor us-preserving gastrectomy with lymph node dissection for a patient with ear ly gastric cancer. The patient's postoperative course was excellent. As of this 17th postoperative month, he has never experienced dumping syndrome or alkaline reflux gastritis. This procedure seemed not only technically feas ible, but also excellent in its reduced surgical invasiveness and better po stoperative quality of life.
