Glasses with unusually high ionic conductivity at room temperature have bee
n studied for many years by reason of their application in various electroc
hemical solid state devices such as rechargeable batteries and chemical sen
sors. Impedance of fast-ion conducting glass was studied as a function of b
oth frequency and temperature. The glass was prepared in the system CuI-Cu2
O-MoO3-V2O5-WO3. Glass discs with sputtered metal electrodes were used. The
frequency dependence of the impedance was described using an equivalent ci
rcuit. The dependence of the circuit elements on temperature was determined
.
