The synthesis of stable titanium containing hexagonal mesoporous aluminopho
sphate (TAP) molecular sieves obtained by hydrothermal crystallization usin
g the fluoride route is described. Catalysts were well characterized using
XRD, FTIR, DRS-UV, solid-state NMR, SEM, TEM, ICP and sorption studies. The
catalysts are active for the epoxidation of several olefins using combined
oxidant hydrogen peroxide and acetonitrile. (C) 2000 Elsevier Science B.V.
