Abstract
We inspected a sky region with declination range of [0 degrees, -18 degrees ] based on the SERC EJ plate copies. As a result a list of 50 nearby dwarf galaxy candidates with angular diameters greater than or equal to 0.'5 is p resented. Most of the galaxies have low and very low surface brightness. Mo re than 60% of the objects are detected for the first time.
