Abstract
Chronic mild stress (CMS) alleviates anxious behaviour in rats in an elevat ed plus-maze. In the present study this finding has been extended in mice t o the using two tests recognised for the assessment of anxious behaviour: t he light-dark discrimination test and the staircase test.
