Abstract
We present an analysis of a capillary plasma Z-pinch, considered as an alte
rnative to pumping for soft X-ray lasers. The study is based on the so call
ed "snow-plow" model. The influence of art external circuit on the evolutio
n of pinching capillary plasma is assessed. Calculated and measured results
of pinch time for various experimental setups are compared.
