Abstract
The ligand X(4)Me(2)Imme(2) was synthesized from p-tert-butyl-calix[4]arene . Upon reaction with one equivalent of Cu(NCMe)(4)PF6, it led to the new tw o-coordinate copper(I) complex [Cu(X(4)Me(2)Imme(2))]PF6 that was character ized by X-ray diffraction analysis. This complex revealed itself to be tota lly inert towards dioxygen in the solid state as well as in coordinating or protic solvents.
