Yn. Dorovsky, Mechanism of generation and intensification of high-frequency oscillationsin fractured porous media on penetration of low-frequency seismic waves, GEOL GEOFIZ, 41(7), 2000, pp. 1056-1061
The paper considers a nonlinear hydraulic pendulum as an effective local me
chanism of absorption of seismic energy in oil-bearing beds. The dissipativ
e behavior of such a pendulum Is due to a permanent liquid discharge in a f
ractured porous medium under pressure in injection wells. The natural frequ
ency of the pendulum likewise has a dissipative character. The self-sustain
ed oscillations of this system provide a characteristic frequency of pulse
effects on the liquid pumped through an oil bed. The oscillating fragments
of the fractured porous medium develop a power sufficient for destroying ob
literation layers composed of polar oil components. Thus, the proposed mech
anism of an open thermodynamic system provides absorption of seismic waves
and is a tool to gain an additional yield of oil.
