The Hg-208 has been produced in multi-nucleon transfer reactions induced by
O-18 ion beam on a thick, natural lead target. The irradiated lead pieces w
ere put into agasthermochromatographic device, in which the Hg-element prod
ucts were separated and collected. The 4 pi Delta E-beta-gamma-gamma end ga
mma-X(gamma) coincidence as well as time-successive gamma-ray single spectr
um measurements were performed. A partial gamma scheme following Hg-208 bet
a(-) decay has been proposed for the first time, which has taken into accou
nt 21 gamma-rays and two new energy levels at 1365 and 1727keV, respectivel
y.
