The electron-beam characteristics of the MIN-1 accelerator have been measur
ed. At the output of the accelerating tube, the current-pulse amplitude is
similar to 1kA, duration similar to 10ns, and maximal electron energy simil
ar to 600 keV. As the beam passes through the air, its diameter increases l
inearly with the distance varying from cm at the tube window to similar to
45 cm at a distance of 1 m from it, which agrees with the calculations perf
ormed.
