Abstract
A new method of splicing called 'Array splicing' is introduced in this pape r. Such models are called splicing-array systems. This is a mathematical ab straction of the recombinant behaviour of repetitive DNA and bended DNA seq uences under the influence of certain restrictions. We discuss permanent an d persistent set of patterns and also present an algorithm to develop a sys tem that is free of superfluous patterns.
