Abstract
The Rashba Hamiltonian is used to analyze the spin orientation of two-dimen sional electrons in electric field. The mean electron spin is found to be o riented in the sample plane perpendicularly to the electric field. In the l imit of weak spin-orbit interaction, the spin orientation factor may increa se.
