Fs. Nasredinov et al., Charge states of atoms in the lattices of the high-temperature superconductors HgBa2Can-1CunO2n+2, J PHYS-COND, 12(35), 2000, pp. 7771-7779
Electric field gradient tensor parameters for the copper, barium and mercur
y sites of the HgBa2Can-1CunO2n+2 lattices (n = 1, 2, 3) have been determin
ed by the emission Mossbauer spectroscopy on the Cu-67(Zn-67), Ba-133(Cs-13
3) and Hg-197(Au-197) isotopes and calculated using the point charge approx
imation. An analysis of the obtained results together with published Cu-63
NMR data has shown that an agreement between the experimental and calculate
d parameters is possible under assumption that holes arising from lattice d
efects are mainly located in oxygen sublattices of the Cu-O planes (Cu(2)-O
plane for HgBa2Ca2Cu3O8).
