J. Gonzalez et al., Derivative and differential voltammetry and reciprocal derivative chronopotentiometry - Identical behavior verification for electrode reversible processes, J ELCHEM SO, 147(9), 2000, pp. 3429-3435
In the present paper, we carry out the experimental verification of the ana
logy between the responses obtained in derivative and differential voltamme
tric techniques and those corresponding to a new modality of the reciprocal
derivative chronopotentiometric techniques using a programmed current of t
he form I(t) = I(0)t(u) with u greater than or equal to -1/2. Identical inf
ormation can be obtained from derivative voltammetry and reciprocal derivat
ive chronopotentiometry although the experimental application of the latter
is simpler and signals obtained are less noise influenced due to the use o
f programmed current. In order to show the above mentioned analogy in the c
ase of reversible electrode processes, we have carried out an experimental
study of the systems Fe(C2O4)(3)(3-) in 0.2 M K2C2O4 (pH 4.49) at a static
mercury drop electrode and ferrocene in CH3CN/0.25 M PF6NBu4 at a Pt electr
ode. (C) 2000 The Electrochemical Society. S0013-4651(00)03-032-9. All righ
