Abstract
A new capacitance-based technique is described for detecting pinholes in el ectrically non-conducting flexible hermetically sealed packages with no hea dspace. The new technique is compared with the most suitable existing techn ique reported in the literature. It is demonstrated theoretically and throu gh experimentation that the new technique provides more sensitive pinhole d etection than the most suitable existing technique.
