EU(TTA)(4)C5H5NC16H33 (TTA:1-(2-thenoyl)-3,3,3-trifluoracetate) is encapsul
ated in Si-MCM-41 modified with N-(3-trimethoxysilylethyl)ethylenediamin. T
he X-ray photoelectorn spectroscopy and UV-visible spectra of the rare eart
h (RE) complex and the assembly prove that the RE complex is dispersed in t
he channels of the modified Si-MCM-41. The emission spectrum of the assembl
y shows only a D-5(0) --> F-7(2) transition. As compared with the RE comple
x itself, the lifetime of the assembly becomes longer, and its stability un
