Abstract
First order phase transition at 163-172 K is found in the (BFDT-TTF)(3)AgxI 8 compound in close vicinity to the temperature range of superionic conduct ivity. This observation indicates formation of the mobile silver ions in th e salt as a consequence of sublattice melting.
