Concentrations of deuterium (D) and lithium (Li) in titanium (Ti) were meas
ured with nuclear reaction analysis (NRA) method. With Delta E&E-counter-te
lescope, proton peaks by the D(d,p)T and Li-6(d,p)Li-7 reactions were well
resolved from continuous spectrum of alpha-particles by the Li-7(d,alpha n)alpha reaction. The yields of these protons were obtained and densities o
f deuterium and lithium isotopes on the Ti surfaces were obtained. Isotopic
ratio of lithium was determined by comparing the yield of Li-6(p,3He)alpha
, Li-6(p,alpha) He-3 and Li-7(p,alpha)alpha reactions with proton beam bomb
ardment. Deviation among the experimental values was about 9%. (C) 2000 Els
