Abstract
A method is described for the use of the Fischer indole synthesis to p repare 7-hydroxyindoles in good yield. The method involves the constru ction of a 4-aminobenzoxazine and removal of the N-O tether after the indole has been formed. (C) 1997 Elsevier Science Ltd.
