Lm. Duan et al., Physical implementation for entanglement purification of Gaussian continuous-variable quantum states - art. no. 032304, PHYS REV A, 6203(3), 2000, pp. 2304
We give a detailed description of the entanglement purification protocol wh
ich generates maximally en tangled states with high efficiencies from reali
stic Gaussian continuous variable entangled states. The physical implementa
tion of this protocol is extensively analyzed using high finesse cavities a
nd cavity enhanced cross Kerr nonlinearities. In particular, we take into a
ccount many imperfections in the experimental scheme and calculate their in
fluences. Quantitative requirements are given for the relevant experimental
parameters.
