Abstract
A novel family of urea-based peptidomimetics containing beta-alanyl un it at the core has been synthesized by a simple one-step procedure. So lid state structures of some representative examples have showm self-a ssembly into highly ordered extended hydrogen-bonded chains and ribbon s with modest NLO activity.
