Abstract
Reults of research on esterification kinetics of acrylic acid with n-hexano le, n-octanol, 2-ethylohexanole and n-decanol in sulfuric acid (0.1 -2%) me dium (used as catalyst) have been presented. Initial molar ratio of alcohol to acrylic acid were: 2:1, 3:1, 5:1, 10:1. The temperature vaned from 60 d egrees C to 130 degrees C. The research was carried out in an isothermal. s emibath reactor. Kinetic equations parameters have been stated. Results can be applied to the chemical processes design and to the optimization of ind ustrial reactors.
