Tn. Kopylova et al., Radiative and photochemical properties of organic compounds excited by high-power XeCl laser radiation, QUANTUM EL, 30(6), 2000, pp. 489-494
Radiative and photochemical properties of a number of laser dyes excited by
focused radiation of a XeCl laser with intensity up to 200 MW cm(-2) were
studied. A method for measuring the gain of organic molecules under high-po
wer excitation is proposed. The dependence of the dye transmittance for the
pump radiation on its intensity was studied. It is shown that changes in e
nergy, spectral, and time characteristics of radiation and the photostabili
ty of compounds under high-power excitation are associated with the formati
on of superluminescence.
