A six-year-old Staffordshire bull terrier had a four-week history of progre
ssive lethargy, ascites and exercise intolerance. a mass 3 cm in diameter o
bliterating the right atrial lumen was detected by echocardiographic examin
ation. There were lactescent pericardial and serosanguineous pleural effusi
ons. Histological and immunochemical examinations showed that the mass was
a primary rhabdomyoma.
