A 3-years old male Doberman is refered in Maisons-Alfort Veterinary Teachin
g Hospital for a posterior paresis which appeared suddenly. The clinical an
d radiological examinations conclude to bilateral patellar ligament rupture
. Lesions are treated surgically by a Bunnell suture reinforced by a fascia
lata graft and a neutralization wire. Clinical features of this disease ar
e exposed, as are its diagnosis and treatment. Respect of the techniques of
ligaments' sutures warrant a good postoperative result and limit complicat
ions.
