Abstract
Four Candida albicans isolates and six non-albicans Candida isolates were e valuated by time-kill methods to characterize the relationship between nyst atin concentrations, the rate and extent of fungicidal activity, and the po stantifungal effect (PAFE). Against Candida species, nystatin exhibits conc entration-dependent fungicidal activity and a pronounced PAFE.
